Hi! My name is Sara and I have been a Girl Scout for 11 years and I am nearing the end of my journey. This project of providing an education on the importance of spaying/neutering your dog is my Girl Scout Gold Award. By Girl Scout's definition, the Girl Scout Gold Award is "the highest and most prestigious award in Girl Scouting... Girls who pursue their Gold Award aspire to transform an idea and vision for change into an actionable plan with measurable, sustainable, and far-reaching results." With this website, I am hoping to reach the city of San Diego and spread awareness of this issue of dog homelessness within our city. With the information provided, my hope is that my target audience is educated on the issue of spaying/neutering your dog and how this could not only help your dog but help prevent dog homelessness.
How is my project sustainable?
My project consisting of this website means that my Gold award will always be alive on the internet and can live on. Working with my project advisor and team, I am promoting my website through community word-of-mouth! My hope with this website is to educate San Diego Community and hopefully viewers will gain information they did not know before!
